Double Dare ~ 14 Jan 2014

Jupiter is such a tease. Recently he squared Mars in Libra from his position in Cancer. The result looked like wannabe daredevils reluctantly positioned on the side of a cliff, deciding whether to try body para-sailing with or without the ingestion of a pep drink that energies your body without necessarily ringing the alarm for consciousness at the same time. For sure, Jupiter prompts and dares. He’ll minimize the risk, consequence and potential fear factor all in the interest of pushing life’s envelope physically and emotionally.

What Jupiter does is a good thing, actually. It’s how progress gets made. His process contributes to stepping outside of one’s comfort zone, especially while he transits Cancer. Let’s be clear though. Jupiter’s intention seeks to fulfill goals, make larger claims in life and blow away limitations, resulting in boundless horizons.

This is not the same as the Pluto process. Pluto wants to egg folks into soul-fulfilling enlightenment, typically conjuring life-transforming circumstances. Life-transforming circumstances at the time of encounter and enduring, may bear a septic stench and render reactions from other people of, “WTFWYT?” That acronym means “what the frig (or your favorite expletive that your spell checker sanctions) were you thinking?” when you made such a life-shifting decision. Forget Pluto for now. This week it’s about Jupiter and Venus and Mars. We don’t have to consider Jupiter and Pluto until the end of the month, when they oppose each other, coinciding with Venus’ station as she returns to prograde motion in virtual conjunction with Pluto. Good! Something to look forward to engaging!

The active trigger of this recent Jupiter-Mars square (some six days ago) shows up on Thursday as Venus and Mars square one another from Capricorn to Libra. Yep, expect those folks you relate to on any level ranging from intimate, to Twitter, to scenarios that rival the movie, Her, to provide agitation that piles onto last week’s inner stunt woman/stunt man yearning. “After all,” Venus adds, “big reward can only be accrued through big risk. If you want to be a big dog, you have to stray off the porch and pee in a yard that is not yours.” Okay, maybe there’s a better image to be found there. Adding an element of Eris, go out there, dammit, and get yourself in orbit around the kind of star you want to orbit... none of this tentative wishing stuff. Do it! Just push yourself in line to be the first on Virgin Galactic, or the balloon rides to the edge of space, or seeking to fulfill your greatest yearning for an amazing and fabulous outcome in life. Where’s the risk in that?

Being creative, fulfilled and stepping out in life is good for the soul. And Pluto, Jupiter and Venus will add a stamp of approval at the end of the month... hopefully. Right now, let out the clutch, feel the gears slip into place and move forward.

Mars urges a rate of motion that may exceed “safe,” applying a ploy of peer pressure or social obligation. Venus will appeal to your instinct for accomplishment and will poke to find any vulnerability to the deadly sin of greed. Jupiter waves off on this. No matter. Good gets done. Progress is made. Whatever mechanism you use to lure the mouse out from the wall and into the room is good. Now as they say in the script writing business, “let’s get a buy in the room,” which means make a good pitch, stop talking, wait for the decision, get a yes, then wait around to sign papers. Venus in Capricorn will remind you not to leave before you get the check.

Truly, it’s double dare time as Venus and Mars square, forcing you to act upon your wishes to get what you need and want.

Let’s go galactic on this for a minute, too. Venus now passes an unusual black holes, SS433 (19 Cap 47ish), that urges a body to adopt an inner clock of pushing hard for 6.55 days, then backing off for 6.55 days. You might discover a week on, a week off in terms of the internal throttle is a good synchronization these days.

As well, Venus also recently passed over a black hole, GRS1915+105 (22 Cap 10 these days) that Mars will come to square a couple days before the Jupiter-Pluto opposition at the end of the month. This latter black hole offers the urgent notation that there’s never enough money, except for what you really yearn to do. This singularity points out that it’s about obtaining the resources to accomplish tasks; resources in this context not synonymous with money.

And as Venus and Mars square this week, Jupiter is pretty much in the vicinity of Sirius (and also Canopus as you folks in the southern hemisphere more easily realize), the brightest of the nighttime stars. Keep the keel straight (Canopus reference). Straighten your spine to feel the energy that surges along the backbone. Pay particular attention as the energy traverses past your belly. Ditch reactions and purge emotions that contribute to reactions of doubt, worry, fear and insecurity. Plug a symbolic plug and imagine psychic sludge draining out of your core. When empty, replace the plug and pick a star and let the stellar essence feed you and fill up the newly cleared void. Perhaps consult a star map to ensure you do not latch onto a traditional malefic.

Sirius is a good pick It’s the bright one that’s not far from that three star line up in Orion. Go ahead. Fill yourself with strong stellar energy that rocks the soul. It’s there for the taking... and it’s free.

Forget about the energy drink in a can that may shatter your sensibilities. You’re being dared by the planets. And to respond to such daring dares, no doubt, you need to be stellar. By being stellar, you can select life circumstances that avoid the need to ask yourself, or to be asked by nosy, intrusive souls, “WTFWYT?”
